Nigel joined us in 2020 as a Consultant in our Armed Forces and Employment Law team. He qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and joined Army Legal Services in 1991, retiring after 25 years service in 2017. Nigel specialised as a prosecutor at Court Martial and was granted Higher rights (Criminal) in 2004. He ran prosecuting offices in both UK and Germany, organised and ran advocacy courses, and was also trained as a specialist Rape and Serious Sexual Offending Advocate.
Away from the court room, Nigel also advised on Service Complaints and Administrative Action, and has acted as legal adviser to both Service Complaint panels and the Army Board.
Nigel can advise and assist both current and veteran members of the Armed Forces who are facing Court Martial and/or administrative action, or who require an experienced and capable advocate to represent them whether it be at court martial, a service complaints board or in respect of administrative action.
