Tamara joined us as an Assistant Solicitor before becoming a Consultant in 2012 and now predominantly undertakes Immigration work.  Tamara entered law specialising in General Litigation, Mental Health, Immigration and Criminal work, and she is now a Police Station Representative and an accredited Immigration Practitioner alongside her legal qualifications.  In addition to her role, she works as Senior Lecturer in higher education, training student Barristers and Solicitors. Tamara can also act as a Health and Welfare Attorney under a Lasting Power of Attorney.

Tamara has several highlights in her career to date, including translating at the Youth Olympics and working overseas for several NGOs. She is a Member of Free Movement, the Immigration Law Practitioners Association and the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner.

Prior to joining the firm, Tamara cut her teeth in the police stations of Cardiff and Bristol specialising in immigration and criminal advice.  On moving to Wiltshire, she continued in that sphere and expanded into a balanced caseload of criminal and civil work. She has worked at various firms in legal roles, including at Hoole and Co and Mowbray Woodwards, as well as serving as Magistrates’ Court advocate.

When reflecting on her time in law and at Parker Bullen, Tamara notes that she enjoys working with her clients and she is pleased to say that they enjoy working with her.  She prides herself on demystifying the complex processes and on looking after her clients throughout.

Outside of work, Tamara loves just about anything on or in water!  She is a keen swimmer, she rows and sails, and volunteers as a Water Guardian for Wiltshire Wildlife Trust which involves looking after a stretch of the Avon.  She also volunteers at Cleveland Pools in Bath caring for a heritage lido and encouraging others to swim outdoors and to build their confidence in water.
