The Digital Afterlife: A Guide to Managing Digital Assets after a Loss
In an era where we live much of our lives online, it is no surprise that our digital footprints...
Francesca joined us in October 2023 as a Trainee Solicitor with her first seat in our Wills, Probate & Estate Planning department in Salisbury, her second seat within the Dispute Resolution team and she is now on her third seat working with our Residential Property department in Romsey.
Prior to joining the firm, Francesca spent four years studying law, achieving a Bachelors of Laws with Upper Second Class Honours and a Masters in Law. During her time at Winchester University, she volunteered as a Youth Commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, advocating awareness for substance misuse particularly with alcohol and its links to teenage binge drinking, and spiking. As an undergraduate, she also had the opportunity to experience a criminal barrister’s perspective of the law by undertaking a week of experience with a 12CP barrister.
Even though she is at the beginning of her legal career within a firm, Francesca already knows from her time studying that she has a particular passion for Family Law, Wills, Probate & Estate Planning, Litigation both civil and criminal, and Military Law. Her dissertation focused on Family Law, with a particular focus on (at that time) the new Domestic Violence Act 2021 as it had only just been established. At post-graduate level, she focused her research project on Military Law with specific interest in the 2012 Helmand Tour and how British Military Law interprets International Humanitarian Law.
Outside of work, Francesca enjoys baking and cooking, mostly learning family recipes from her mother and trying new recipes out from online. She also enjoys going on walking holidays with her partner where they get the chance to explore the beautiful scenery that England has to offer.
