We are incredibly proud to announce our partnership with Dogs Trust as our new Charity of the Year for 2023. The partnership reflects our commitment to giving back to our community by working with local and national charities through fundraising, volunteering and raising awareness.
Dogs Trust is a national charity that aims to provide a home for dogs in need. With 21 rehoming centres and many charity shops across the UK and Ireland, the charity supports dogs from rehabilitation to rehoming, and adopters with advice, training and support.
“We are thrilled to partner with Dogs Trust and support its mission to give as many dogs as possible a healthy and happy life,” commented Karen Clarkson, Marketing & Business Development Manager. “Each year we choose a different charity for our Charity of the Year programme with employees making suggestions before the decision is opened to a vote. As a firm of dog lovers, it was no surprise that Dogs Trust was ultimately the winner this year, and we are very much looking forward to working closely with the charity, the wonderful team members and, of course, the dogs!”
As part of the partnership, we will be actively involved in supporting Dogs Trust through various initiatives and events. Our initial plans include a sponsored walk in the Spring, utilising fundraising spaces in national Marathons, making donations, and staff using their annual Volunteering Day; a new employee benefit which gives every member of staff a day’s paid leave to volunteer for a cause of their choice.
Owen Sharp, Chief Executive of Dogs Trust said: “We are delighted that Parker Bullen has selected Dogs Trust as its Charity of the Year, and we are grateful for their support over the coming year, which will enable us to continue to care for dogs in need, which at the moment, sadly so many are in need of.”
Karen concludes, “Ensuring we are giving back to the local community is vitally important for us as a firm. We recognise that in our capacity as an established local business, it is our duty to work with those who are trying to make the world a better place and support our employees in their charitable endeavours. With Dogs Trust having rehoming centres and shops close to our office locations in Andover, Romsey, Salisbury and Witney, this is a natural fit for us and we are delighted to be in a position to work with such an important charity.”
