Charity partnership 2024 raises over £4,000 for The Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust

We are so excited to share that our Charity of the Year partnership with The Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust has been a huge success and we have raised over £4,000!

The charity provides palliative and end of life care for those with life-limiting illnesses in Andover and the surrounding areas. Throughout 2024, our teams have been part of several events and fundraising initiatives, which resulted in raising an impressive £4,422.44 to help with the vital work that the Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust provides.

Each year, we proudly support a charity chosen by our employees, reflecting our commitment as a firm to corporate social responsibility and creating a positive impact within our local communities.

Throughout the partnership over the past year, we have been busy raising funds through a series of activities, including:

  • The Countess of Brecknock Hospice 10@10 walk, where the team walked 10 miles around Andover starting at 10pm.
  • The Romsey Relay Marathon, during which the team collectively ran the distance of a marathon in an impressive 4 hours and 20 minutes.
  • Our fundraiser raffle at our Summer Drinks Party.
  • We proudly supported The Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust’s “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Campaign”, allowing the local community to dedicate yellow ribbons in memory of their loved ones or to give back to the hospice.
  • Finally, we were thrilled to launch of our Free Wills Scheme in partnership with the charity. The scheme encourages local people to make or amend their Will for free. While there is no obligation, it is hoped that those taking part will consider leaving the charity a gift in their Will in return to help secure the future of the hospice.

In addition to our firm-wide activities, our amazing receptionist, Cheryl Tarrant, took her own fundraising efforts to the next level and Braved the Shave, raising over £1,500. Cheryl’s selfless gesture was in memory of two very special people close to her heart. Well done, Cheryl, we are all so proud of your courage and dedication!

“Our partnership with The Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust as our Charity of the Year has been an incredibly rewarding experience,” shared Karen Clarkson, Marketing and Business Development Manager. “Raising over £4,000 to support the vital palliative and end-of-life care they provide to our community is an achievement we are immensely proud of. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to support The Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust and we look forward to continuing to champion their incredible work.”
